Tiny Kitten Rejected For Being “Too Ugly,” Proves What A Beautiful Little Guy He Really Is, Finds A Place Where He Belongs
When Laura Llacer met Romeo, it was love at first sight. Romeo is a tiny orange kitten with a very unusual face, and Laura, his rescuer, works at the Santuario Compasion Animal in Spain. She’d found him all alone in a small village and quickly brought him into the sanctuary.
“While we were on our way to a rescue, we ran into this kitten whose appearance was different from other cats and that’s why everyone rejected him,” the rescue said. “They told us nobody wanted him because he was too ugly. But for us Romeo is a lovely little kitty who likes to play like the rest of the cats, and their differences make it special.”
Romeo was born with a facial deformity that gives him a very different appearance than most cats. But according to the shelter, “he is the most loving kitten [they] have ever known.”
“People there may not understand that being different is not a problem,” said the rescue.
“We hope this will change by showing Romeo’s story that every animal wants/deserves to live.”
“Sweet dreams little Romeo. You’ll never be alone. You are precious and loved.”
As he grew in size, the sweet kitten from a small Spanish village grew a long, healthy coat, and, if possible, an even bigger heart! On one occasion, shelter staff found him keeping a sick chicken company in the rescue’s medical room.
“Romeo watched us one afternoon from the roof of a stable while we were working,” the rescue said. “He is very clear that everything has to be perfect for rescued animals.”
It’s been a year since Romeo found his forever home where he belongs. He has blossomed into a handsome lion with gorgeous fully coat.
Despite the difficult start at life, Romeo is showing the world what a beautiful soul he really is!
